Adams County Creates Transparency Hotline

“We are hopeful the hotline will empower citizens and employees to report any wrongdoings,” said Chairman W. R. “Skip” Fischer. “The board is committed to establishing a transparent government that serves the community by following the letter of the law, as well as the spirit of the law. This means protecting the county’s assets, which belong to the taxpayers.”

The public is encouraged to call the Transparency Hotline to report suspected fraud, as well as questionable ethical practices occurring by or within Adams County Government. Concerns can be phoned into the hotline at 303.482.1609, submitted online at www.cicn.biz/adcohotline or emailed to adcohotline@cicn.biz.

The hotline has been established through the office of the county’s new internal audit firm, Colorado Independent Consultants Network, LLC. CICN will work in a coordinated fashion with recently selected Independent Ethics Officer Suzanne Dugan with the law firm of Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll.

“By taking a few minutes to report a concern, you’ll have done your part to make the county a better place to live and work,” said Dugan.
